After finished reading the entire book, I must say I am not disappointed at all.

Personally, I applaud the effort of the author, J. K. Rowling.

I believe Rowling must have taken loads of her time and efforts as she planned, researched, organized and wrote Harry Potter since the last century. Not only has she put together a lot of great plots in the entire series, Harry Potter is chuck full of contrasting themes such as love & betrayal, greed & sacrifice, wickedness & innocence, etc. that I find it difficult not to question about the many options of lifestyle than we can choose to live in this world after putting down the book in the middle of the night.

While I try very hard not to over-analyze the core message behind the entire story, Harry Potter makes me somehow wonder what true heroism is all about.

Although my dreams were seldom scary, they could be quite annoyingly mysterious.

Many mornings, I woke up feeling bewildered, overwhelmed and confused because I felt abandoned, as I did not know what my dreams were trying to tell me.

Even with the help of dream dictionaries, I still felt puzzled as the pieces were always so scattered, so disorganized.

When I first discovered Waking Your Dreams: Unlock the Wisdom of Your Unconscious online last November, I hesitated to buy the book because I couldn’t quite tell by the cover whether the information provided would be useful.

Although I haven’t paid much attention to this book since, I noticed that people around me kept on talking about it in the past few months.

So, I finally decided to check the book out myself about a month ago.

Waking Your Dreams isn’t a dream dictionary.

The author, Emma Mellon, encourages readers to explore dreams with the power of our imagination.

As I went through the book chapter by chapter, I noticed my mind started to wander into some of the fragments of my scattered dreams. Sometimes, I would be reading a paragraph from the book when my imagination took over and gave me a new layer of interpretation about my mysterious dreams.

Although the book isn’t long (it is only about 120 pages), it covers many helpful ideas that allow me to re-explore my dream mysteries.

Bit by bit, I started to revisit my dreams from angles that I haven’t observed before. I began to recognize elements from the dreams that could also be meaningfully applied to my waking world.

Have you read any of the book from the Shopaholic series?

The latest one, Shopaholic & Baby was released in February 2007.

I really have to say, I truly admire the talents of the author, Sophie Kinsella. Her style is not only witty, but also hilariously funny.

When I first noticed the paperback of Confessions of a Shopaholic at a local bookstore back in 2002, I didn’t really pay too much attention to it. At that time, I thought I would never pick up another chick lit after the Bridget Jones’s Diary.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I finally placed an online order in June 2003 and purchased the first three books of the series, (1) Confessions of a Shopaholic, (2) Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, and (3) Shopaholic Ties the Knot.

After receiving my order, I couldn’t quite put the books down and ended up finished reading all of them within 48 hours.

When Shopaholic & Sister arrived at the bookstore in September 2004, I immediately picked up my hardcover copy.

Although I found the plot slightly less funny than the first three in the series, Shopaholic & Sister still wins my heart and is currently residing at a very prominent spot on my bookshelf.
